Catbalogan City forms team to help drug addicts

CATBALOGAN CITY, March 10 (PNA) -- The city government here has formed a team to assist in the community-based rehabilitation of drug dependents.

Named Community-based Rehabilitation Program and Therapeutic Community Team (TCT), the group is composed of members of multi-sectoral councils for Gender and Development (GAD) and the City Anti-Drug Abuse Council (CADAC).

The TCT has 16 members, who completed a 4-day training last January conducted by the Samar police provincial office.

“The community-based rehabilitation program will use the foundation of therapeutic community in transforming drug surrenderers into productive members of society,” Uy-Tan said.
