DPWH Eastern Visayas reg'l office is now ISO certified

PALO, Leyte, July 6 (PNA) -- The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) regional office here is committed to quality and excellence in delivering services of international standards as it is now ISO (International Organization for Standardization) 9001:2008 certified.

ISO 9001:2008 certification is an accreditation conducted by external certification bodies to ensure that an organization performs their inter-related processes with international standards.

DPWH Region 8, together with other regional offices, district engineering offices and unified project monitoring offices, accepted the QMS (Quality Management Service) ISO 9008:2001 certificate.

DPWH Eastern Visayas Regional Director Edgar Tabacon said that with the certification, the department will enhance its infrastructure development process to better serve the interest of its stakeholders. (PNA)
