BIR recognizes Ormoc’s top taxpayers

ORMOC CITY, Leyte, March 10 (PNA) -- The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) district office here recognized the top taxpayers in this city for taxable year 2014.

The activity was held Wednesday during the kickoff of BIR’s tax campaign for 2016 to remind the public on the deadline for the filing of the Annual Income Tax Return.

Recognized are the Top Individual Taxpayers namely businessman Manuel A. Chua, Engr. Joseph Frederick A. Pepito and accountant Ricardo K. Ogario Jr.

The Top Professional Taxpayers consisting of physicians namely Jaime L. Gatchalian Jr., Christine Suarez-Ybañez and Joan Eloise R. Larrazabal.

The Top Corporate Taxpayers which are World Venture Commodities Inc., H. Serafica and Sons Corp. and J. Gatchalian Enterprises Inc.

Also recognized are the Top Government Withholding Agents that submitted the correct amount with complete attachments in filing their Withholding Tax Returns. These are the local government unit (LGU) of Ormoc, 4th Leyte Engineering District and Visayas State University.

On the other hand, the individual and organizations that helped BIR implement its regulations as well as information dissemination are accountant Manuel M. Pascual, Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry and LGU Ormoc. (PNA)
