CATBALOGAN CITY, Samar, Dec. 9
(PNA) -- The provincial government of Samar has been distributing electric fans
to different public schools in a bid to create a better learning environment.
“The happiness and excitement of
our dear teachers that meet us every time, is a clear manifestation that our
firm commitment to bring change to classrooms setting,” said Governor Sharee
Ann Tan.
The program, according to Tan, is
part of the provincial government's desire to provide cooler classrooms to make
them conducive to better learning.
This week, public schools in
Villareal, Motiong, Jiabong, Pinabacdao, Calbiga, San Sebastian, and Hinabangan
received electric fans.
The local government launched the
Electric Fan Distribution for Public Schools in the province last month.
They started the campaign in
Catbalogan 1 Central Elementary School and Samar National High School.
The other recipients of the
program in the provincial capital are Catbalogan II District, Guinsorongan
Elementary School, Guinsorongan Hish School, San Andres Elementray School,
Silanga National High School, Catbalogan V District, Catbalogan City Division
and St. Mary’s College Catbalogan.
After the two batches of
deliveries, more schools have been asking for units of fans, according to Tan.
