Cops nab food company sales agent in Ormoc drug bust

ORMOC CITY, Leyte, Sept. 13  -- A sales agent of a known national food company was nabbed in a drug bust here Wednesday after allegedly selling a sachet of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth).
Chief Insp. Joseph Jeovel Young, the city police drug enforcement unit chief and team leader, said the arrest of Jay Feleciano, 39, from Tanauan, Leyte, came after a fallen drug suspect just a few days ago tagged the suspect as his source.
The declared selling occurred when a police asset contacted Feleciano for the drug deal that was set in the village, where the transaction went through.
When frisked, the police found two more sachets of suspected prohibited drugs from Feliciano's sling bag and PHP11,000 in cash.
The suspect confirmed possessing the seized items, being into the illegal drug business and a user.
As sales agent, he often comes to Ormoc and nearby towns to meet his clients.
Following the recent arrests of drug suspects, Young reiterated his warning to those who continue engaging in drugs to stop or live in jail. (ERR/PNA)
