PHP10.8-M infra projects up for bidding in Leyte

TACLOBAN CITY, March 10 (PNA) -– The Department of Public Works and Highways' (DPWH) 2nd engineering district in Leyte is set to bid six local infrastructure projects worth PHP10.8 million.

The infrastructure projects include road concreting along the Cansamada-Balilit-Tuya road section in Dagami, Leyte; San Antonio concrete pavement project in Tunga, Leyte; Sto. Niño road project in Tunga, Leyte; and Union road in Mayorga, Leyte.

The district is also bidding the Atipolo Daco Bridge project along the Palo-Carigara-Ormoc Road. A flood control will be built alongside the bridge.

The other project for bidding is the repair/maintenance of the Nauguisan Bridge, a permanent bridge along the Palo-Carigara-Ormoc Road. 

These projects are being bid out by the district office under the PHP1.7-billion regular infrastructure fund approved by the central office for 2017.

Bidding will be conducted through open competitive bidding procedures. There is a pre-bid conference on March 16 while the submission and opening of bids is scheduled on March 29, according to district engineering office chief Carlos Veloso. (PNA)
