TACLOBAN
CITY, Oct. 11 (PNA) -- The Leyte Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) will
conduct a business exposition as part of Leyte Business Month celebration this
October.
The event
will be held at the Leyte Academic Center in Palo town on October 18 to 19.
It will
focus on promoting Leyte and this city as an investment hub and help small
entrepreneurs grow their business.
Local
government units from Leyte’s first congressional district, business owners,
small and medium entrepreneurs, and national government agencies will set up
their display booths to showcase investment opportunities and development plans
in their respective areas, said LCCI President Wilson Uy.
The LCCI
will also launch a project that will guide small businesses on proper
management of their finances by teaching them basic accounting.
“This will
allow them to see the path of their businesses and help them in their
decision-making, especially if they see that their expenses are bigger than
their profits,” Uy said.
Teaching
small entrepreneurs the basic accounting will also help them learn how to
balance their inventory with their stocks.
Uy added
that this will also ease the burden to small entrepreneurs from hiring
accountants and bookkeepers, who demand for higher pay.
