TACLOBAN
CITY, July 7 (PNA - The National Electrification Administration (NEA) has given
Leyte II Electric Cooperative (Leyeco II) the highest rating of triple A
despite reeling the impacts of super typhoon Yolanda.
As of May
2016, Leyeco II's based finance, institutional and technical service-related
performance, got a rating of 100 percent.
The
cooperative is the second in Eastern Visayas that attained the highest score,
after it managed to comply all the requirements needed to be listed as a triple
A cooperative.
NEA gives
the highest rating of triple A to an electric cooperative for being compliant
to all the four parameters - financial, institutional, technical and
reportorial requirements.
Leyeco II
manager Fernan Paul Tan, who assumed office in October 2015, thanked the
cooperation and participation of department managers.
Tan said he
made all the efforts to continue the services rendered to its member-consumers,
although until now, the cooperative has not achieved the pre-Yolanda level of
42 to 45 megahertz load. The current load now is 36 to 37 megahertz.
Because of
this, the cooperative is now on its massive campaign for on time payment to
sustain its good service or else members will suffer disconnection.
Leyeco II
will also install recloser in the electrical lines, according to Tan. Recloser
is a device, whose function is similar to circuit breakers installed in
electrical lines at home.
The devise
is intended for a continued electrical consumption despite some technical
problems in a certain feeder. While there are ongoing repairs, other feeders
will not shut down.
