Ormoc City inaugurates stalls at bus terminal

ORMOC CITY, Leyte, June 15 (PNA) -– The city government here has inaugurated the newly finished stalls for those who want to do business at the twin bus and jeepney terminals.

Outgoing Mayor Edward C. Codilla led the inauguration on Tuesday of the PHP8.48-million project.

The bus terminal was allotted PHP3.66 million for the construction of 54 stalls while the jeepney terminal got P4.82 million for 40 stalls.

Priority occupants are vendors around the vicinity of the terminals while others are sidewalk and ambulant vendors around the city proper.

Ormoc, a city in the western part of Leyte province, had a population of 215,031 as of last year. The city is the economic, cultural, commercial and transportation hub of western Leyte. (PNA)
