Leyte provincial board approves resolution congratulating Duterte

TACLOBAN CITY, June 8 (PNA) -- The Leyte provincial board has approved a resolution to send a congratulatory letter to President-elect Rodrigo Duterte for winning the presidential race.

Vice Governor Carlo Loreto said they wanted to express their unconditional solidarity to Duterte and their best wishes for his success as he prepares to take up the responsibilities and challenges as Chief Executive.

“President Duterte’s life has been nothing but an example of commitment and competence to millions of Filipino people,” Loreto said.

“Our country needs that his example to continue to mark the future generations with his commitment to constantly seek for solutions to end poverty, dedication of your personal life, and struggle to make our country secure and stable,” he said.

The board is confident that under the leadership of President Duterte, the Philippines will certainly reach heights, especially in the fight against illegal and criminality.

“We wanted to assure President Duterte’s administration of a continued support and collaboration from the people of Leyte in the cause of peace,” Loreto added. (PNA)
