ORMOC CITY,
Leyte, March 22 (PNA) -– More than 90 percent of the 78 school buildings built
by the Department of Public Works and Highways 4th Leyte Engineering District
(DPWH-4th LED) for 2014 and 2015 in northwest Leyte have been completed as of
Feb. 29 this year.
Some 76
school buildings are expected to be finished in time for the school opening in
June while two other four-storey structures built at New Ormoc National High
School will be completed in July.
In April,
4th LED will bid out five school buildings and will award the construction
after the May elections.
These are a
PHP3-million building at Airport Primary School in Ormoc as well as four
structures (three units 3-storeys, one unit two-storeys) worth PHP70 million at
Palompon National High School in Palompon town.(PNA)
