Ormoc agri-fishery Council receives Php48,000 gran

ORMOC CITY, Leyte, Feb. 19, (PNA) - - The Philippine Council for Agriculture and Fisheries (PCAF), an attached agency of the Department of Agriculture (DA), extended Php48,000 as support to the Independent Component City Agriculture and Fishery Council’s (ICCAFC) consultative meetings in this city.

PCAF serves as a forum where government and the private sector discuss issues and come up with policy recommendations concerning agriculture and fisheries.

The grant will finance the operating cost of ICCAFC’s consultative meetings for 2016. About Php 8,000 is allocated for each meeting.

ICCAFC has scheduled six meetings this year, three each from January to June and from July to December. (PNA)
